League of Champions is a cohort of school principals dedicated to Social and Emotional Learning and the mental wellbeing of school communities. Read below to see what you get as a member. Apply by October 15th to join the cohort for the 2022-23 school year.
With the implementation of a CASEL aligned SEL program 24% more students would have improved social behaviors and lower levels of distress as well as an increase in academic performance by 11 percentile points.

What is League of Champions
The League of Champions is a national cohort of school leaders committed to implementing social emotional learning to strengthen school culture and unleash the potential of their students. The members, school principals and two additional leaders in their buildings, participate in monthly strategic professional development to make the adaptive change necessary so their students get the most out of their SEL programming. Member schools receive comprehensive programming and the mentorship of world-class athletes who demonstrate what is possible when they practice social-emotional skills to pursue their dreams. School-wide Social-Emotional curriculum with inspiring athlete role models
The 8-unit social-emotional curriculum is scaffolded with an educators’ guide, weekly lesson plans, videos and family resources. And it’s all brought to life by world-class athletes who demonstrate the essential social-emotional skills to reach their potential.
Dedicated athlete mentor for one grade level for the duration of the school year
One grade team will be matched with a dedicated Athlete Mentor for the school year. The mentor sends monthly update videos and story-focused video lessons to support the SEL curriculum. This also has a dedicated private community where teachers can communicate back and forth with their mentor on behalf of the classroom.
Professional learning for principal and two building leaders
The League of Champions is designed to help principals and building leaders clarify the strategic vision for social-emotional learning in their schools and develop a plan to execute it. Members will be supported to implement the Classroom Champions program with fidelity to meet the unique needs and goals of their schools.
National network of leaders to provide feedback, perspective and support
Monthly convenings are designed to offer the latest in SEL research, support leaders as they develop and strengthen the plan to implement effective social-emotional learning throughout their school, and provide a space for colleagues to share their unique perspectives with their growing network.

Data-informed decision-making process to reflect school goals and needs

Price for League of Champions membership is $7,500 for an entire year of school programming and support, and over 20 hours professional learning for three school leaders!
