The Power of Canada’s Most Inspirational Role Models in SEL

For over a decade, Western Canadian corporations have supported dozens of classrooms every year to be mentored by Canada’s best athletes. Now, they’ve stepped up in a big way to cover costs for curriculum, mentorship programs, teacher professional development, community events with athlete visits, teacher conferences, and more to schools, districts, First Nations, and Métis Settlements from Fort St John, BC to Estevan, SK - and many communities in between.

Programs to fit every classroom, school or district need

Flexible, comprehensive, ready to use SEL lessons that feature Canada’s best athletes. Grade-banded to meet developmental needs in K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 classrooms.

The Foundation: Curriculum for teachers, by teachers

Our SEL Foundations Curriculum builds the groundwork for social and emotional wellbeing in our children. It draws on 8 unit themes taught by 8 different Canadian athlete mentors.

The Mentorship: Direct connection and life-long impact

Our Mentorship+ experience brings a completely life-changing dynamic to the classroom or school. For 32 weeks, a Canadian Olympic or Paralympic athlete will add their own personal experiences to the curriculum; allowing students a chance to come along their journey.
  • Indigenous Programming: Mentorship & Curriculum

Our Circle Program takes the Mentorship and Curriculum and customizes it to local culture and context. Created by experts in our partner Indigenous communities, this curriculum not only focuses on what's important for Indigenous kids, but it also pairs each classroom with an Athlete Mentor of Indigenous heritage, like the first First Nations woman to make an Olympic Hockey team, Brigette Lacquette.
